Start with the question you have.
Health coverage in New York comes from several places: an employer, the NY State of Health marketplace, Medicare, Medicaid and the Essential Plan, or private arrangements. Each has its own rules, and the best fit depends on your age, income, employment and health needs.
Start with the guide closest to your question, or send us a note. We will tell you honestly if the right answer is a program we do not sell.

Which health products we can offer depends on insurer appointments, and not all coverage is sold through brokers. Ask us what is available for your situation. If the best route is elsewhere, we say so.
What is accident and health insurance?
It is the New York license line for insurance against injury, illness and related loss. It covers many products, from supplemental accident plans to disability income.
Is supplemental coverage a substitute for health insurance?
No. Accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness plans typically pay cash benefits and are not a replacement for comprehensive health coverage.
When can I change my coverage?
Most people can change coverage during an annual enrollment period or after a qualifying life event. Medicare's annual enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7. We explain the rules that apply to you.
